I have to be honest. I don't even know where this recipe came from. I don't even know if people still make it, but they should I think. It's a classic. It's so 1960's, or perhaps earlier. It's weird, but let's face it... it's pretty good.
I'm talking about your classic Dill Dip. Made with that pantry staple, dried beef. Do you remember dried beef? Is it even available anymore? My mom used to use it on toast with this gelatinous white sauce for dinner. Not my favorite but compared to others.. at least edible. Anyway, the dip was good. I remember it being put out for parties or family get togethers. Google didn't give me any incite into this but maybe it's something we should all try again.
So get your pipers pipping and bring your inner 60's self out because I give to thee...

DILL DIP
INGREDIENTS
1 package dried beef, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 Tablespoon Dill Weed (I would use fresh dill chopped, about 2
Tablespoons)
2 Tablespoons minced onions
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Serve with crackers or crostini.
